The Music is Great

Ok, maybe this was the longest period of silence on this website and we really apologize for that. Lately it wasn't easy to find some free time to dedicate to Comic Who, but we have a couple of news: first of all we have a new strip, but I'll introduce it later, and then, maybe you've already noticed it, but we have a brand new website. It's lighter and faster and maybe will help us to not reach our monthly bandwidth limit in a couple of days (well, this month we've already reached it with the old site, so I fear you will still experience slowdowns on the page loading).

Comic Who is really appreciated and loved and we've a lot of new fans (quite 12,000 on our Facebook page). This makes us really happy but with the amount of traffic we generate on a daily basis (on the 15th of this month we've "used" the 3000% of our monthly bandwidth with more than 5,000 visits per day), our server is uncapable of handle it and we need to upgrade to a better one. If you have a few minutes and you enjoy our comic, please think about clicking on our ads to help us in this moment so we'll be able to provide you a better experience. Thank you very much!

Now, it's time to talk about the strip. This was originally written last year before series 7 even started. We just tried to imagin how could be a normal [boring] day for an evil Time Lord and his fellows in the 70s... When I wrote the dialogue between Ianto and Simmy about the Cold War, I couldn't think that the Doctor and a Martian spaceship would make a visit to the North Pole during that very same period. Of course Simmy wasn't aware of that, but it's funny to read it now in light of the latest Doctor Who episode.

Reunion

Hi there!
The moment we were waiting for is finally arrived! Today Comic Who turns 2.
A few months ago we asked to our followers what they would like to see in the 50th strip. We received suggestion on the website, on Facebook and even through private messages. The most of you asked for a multi-doctor story... well, actually every Comic Who strip is a multi-doctor story, but you asked for more Doctors than the usually trio of Eccly, Tenny and Smithy. It wasn't easy to write a story with ALL the Doctors, but when I realized that this strip was going to be release on 2013, I went for a tribute to the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who!

Coolness

We've been a little busy in these days and actually it's been a while since our last strip. This week (hey, it's monday... sometimes we still respect the monday deadline :D), anyway, this week we are also proud to present a script written by one of our lovely fans!

Lately we've received a lot of scripts from you but we haven't had the time to schedule them. Hopefully we'll be able to release more fan-written strips in the near future, in the meanwhile please say hello to Carol Riedel, the author of this script!

There's a movie which in our opinion is beyond awesomeness! Zoolander is one of the funniest movies of all time and there's a particular scene you HAVE TO love, because it's simply Epic (with the cammeo of David Bowie *_*)!
OK, I know you got it, but for those few people who use to live under a rock, I'm talking about the Walk Off Scene!
If you're wondering why I'm telling you this, it's because we love cross-over, and we love make cross-overs with cross-over (you know, a bit of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff) and we are proud to introduce you Simmy's Tales vs Comic Who in an epic Wolk Off! Smithy is actually happily married (more than once) but I'm quite sure he could not resist for long and he is up to something right now. And what about Eccly? Ianto's Wall

Ianto (well, "our" Ianto) is back on his wall! I'm not mad, I'm talking about the Memorial Wall in Cardiff Bay. If you don't understand what I'm talking about yet, you have to know that the location in Cardiff Bay where was set the Torchwood Hub access is now completely covered with drawings, messages and gifts to Ianto Jones, there is also a memorial plaque!
This year in March we were invited to the Doctor Who Official Convention and wandering around the Bay we discovered the existence of this amazing wall! We decided to add a Comic Who tribute, but we didn't have anything to protect it against the rain so by now it is gone. [...]

Writing Scripts

It's time for a new Confidential. Sometimes the great problem writing a script is to be synthetic. We receive a lot of script from our followers and some of them have this kind of problem, so I've imagine that people who are used to write a lot would have the same problem on a greater scale. And what would happens if one of the greatest writer of our time write a script for one of the best TV sci-fi series? This is a hypothetical conversation between Neil Gaiman and Steven Moffat about the script of the Doctor's Wife.
