Christmas Special

Back in the 70's Simmy is going to celebrate Christmas alone with baby Yana! But you know, at Christmas time miracles do happen and sometime even foes become friends! 

Simmy's going to leave the 70's, but I promise, next year we'll have more Classic Who. This is our last strip for 2011 and it's also the last strip for our first year... We're getting older; January 14, 2011 we start this wonderful journey and now, with 2000 followers on Facebook, 1000 followers on Tumblr and more then 300 regular followers on Blogger, we are going to celebrate our birthday with you all! Prepare yourself, because celebrations will start on New Year's day!

Christmas Contest Results

It was difficult to choose the winners, because the temptation to reward everyone for their efforts and for their excellent work has been strong. In the end we tried to evaluate the entries basing on the sympathy, the originality and also the age of the competitors. We have divided the entries into two categories, one composed by simple images, the other composed by multi-panel images and between these we selected those that we believe were the most beautiful, funny but above all, more Christmassy. I hope you enjoy our choices, in addition all competitors will receive shortly a little surprise.

We really would like to reward everyone, but this is a contest, so it is supposed to have a winner... well, actually two winners... we decided to create two categories:

Yana Against Bakey Jr. - Part 2

Last call for our contest! You have only one day to send us your work, so don't waste time anymore!

Last time we left Yana and Bakey Jr. in a fight. Children are more impulsive, this is why adults have to take care of them and they must set a good example... or maybe not! Simmy's adventures in the 70s continue, but they are going to reach a conclusion with the Christmas special, so stay tuned!

Yana Against Bakey Jr. - Part 1

Simmy is still stuck in 70s with Baby Yana, but every age has its Doctor and the '74 is the year of a brand new Doctor. We have already met Bakey while he pays a visit to Rory. But when he is at home, he lives with a younger version of himself (like Simmy do)... we're proud to introduce Bakey Jr. formerly known as the Sixth Doctor.

We live in a timey wimey world, when I first wrote the script for the today strip, Elisa felt in love with the idea of mixing Doctor Who and Life on Mars because of Simmy... when I came back from work she showed me the sketch for this pinup. But while we have a long running schedule for the strips, we just publish pinup whenever they come out from Elisa's mind, so the today story is the "first part" of that story. This is also the first of a four part story which will end with the Christmas Special, so get ready, because we're going to release a lot of strip from today to the Christmas Day!

Happy Birthday Karen Gillan

Today is the birthday of one of the best companion ever (well, except for Rory ^_^).
We would like to celebrate this day in Comic Who style and we really wish her a great day and... hey, Smithy, what are you doing? That's not a Fish Finger and Custard cake!

Christmas Contest 2011

Introduction

This contest is designed to engage Comic Who readers. Participants will be asked to draw an image (sketch, pin-up, strip or whatever you want) based on the Comic Who characters at Christmas. We will not choose the winning image basing on the tecnique or the drawing skills. The most important thing is the Christmas spirit, so we're not interested if you're Bryan Hitch or a 4 years old kid, just try to be Doctor-ish and Christmassy!

Contest Rules
 - The contest will begin at 0:00 AM (GMT) on November 23, 2011 and will end at 11:59 PM (GMT) on December 23, 2011.
 - Images must be sent at comicwho@gmail.com. Images submitted will not be accepted otherwise.
 - All images sent outside of the validity period of the contest will be ignored.
 - No obscenity and/or vulgarity and/or violence will be accepted.
 - Every image must contain at least one of the Comic Who Doctors (Eccly, Tenny or Smithy).
 - No image of Smithy without his bowtie will be accepted (:P).
 - It will be accepted only one image per person.
 - The Comic Who staff will answer every email received by communicating the acceptance of the image or the reasons for which have been refused.
 - Winners will be announced on December 25, 2011 and all the images will be published on the website and on the Comic Who Facebook Page.

Timey Wimey

It's time for a new strip, a very timey wimey strip... I absolutly wanted to do a strip with Rory The Roman as main character and every time I think about Stonehenge I go "non-sense" (you know what I'm talking about...).
Anyway, by popular request we decided to introduce the 4th Doctor (Baky?) in this story and we really hope you like it... check it out!
